That's right, my friend, it's time to...

RISE AND SHINE IN 2009!

And the cosmic weather for 2009 is all about shining your light, your individual, unique, original light out into the world.

We all know that there are challenges that many of us are facing now. I could list them but then we would be focused on the challenges rather than on the excitement of this new beginning. We know what they are.

The other side of that coin is that the planetary set up in 2009 is such that you can attract those people who inspire you to take advantage of the opportunities that do exist for you to shine your light brighter than ever before.

Now, in order to do that, you are being called to look at all the structures in your life...all the things that currently define you...your work, your relationships, your car, your home, the money you earn, etc... and to see where some of those existing definitions of yourself may be holding you back.

What is happening in the cosmos to reflect that is Saturn and Uranus dancing opposite each other in the sky, which they haven't done since the 60's. What that essentially means for all of us is that ultimately you can FIND THE BALANCE between the conservative structures that have defined you and kept you safe... and yet at the same time now feel restrictive and confining... and consequently where you are chomping at the bit to create new ways of being in the world that allow you greater freedom of self-expression.

Saturn is the most conservative, stable and conventional of all the planets and Uranus is the most rebellious, volatile and unconventional. Can you see what a push/pull we are in as individuals as well as collectively? What is literally going on is the COLLISION BETWEEN STAGNANT STRUCTURES AND THE INEVITABLE POWER OF CHANGE.

There are 2 more planetary dances I want to share with you in this LoreleiDaily so that you can work with these energies rather than be overwhelmed by the eollective fears that are palpable now.

On December 31, 2008, just yesterday, SATURN began its 5 month retrograde journey until May, 2009. What does that mean, you ask? SATURN is charged with the duty of teaching you your lessons in life...giving you the ability to grow nd persevere, granting you the will to succeed and the strength to accomplish the tasks at hand.

The energy of SATURN retrograde is a fairly powerful force. This is an excellent time to grasp that retrograde energy, to bring projects to completion, and to let go of old problems and issues. By being introspective and reflective, which are gifts of any retrograde, you can be aware of self-limitations and let them go so that your future becomes more exciting and clear.

SATURN in retrograde is NOT the opportune time to start major new projects or open a new business. Sometimes that's hard to resist...but it IS the time to re-examine and re-structure projects and responsibilities you have already begun. To use an automobile metaphor, take a look under the hood and figure out what's not working...and is the car even worth keeping?

SATURN's retrograde is about taking things apart (especially since SATURN is in the meticulous and efficient earth sign of VIRGO) to put them back together in a more honest and responsible way. When SATURN is moving forward you are blessed with parental energy that ensures you take a bath, eat your peas and say please and thank you. When direct, SATURN blesses you with wisdom and helps you to accomplish what you have come into this lifetime to accomplish. SATURN is NOT the hard ass you may have imagined it to be. It IS the energy that makes sure you understand what this life is for and about, so that you make good decisions and use of your life wisely.

So, one more thing for now about SATURN in retrograde. This is the perfect time to TAKE STOCK OF YOUR LIFE. LOOK AT THE IDEALS YOU'VE BUILT YOUR LIFE ON. LOOK AT WHAT PRINCIPLES GOVERN YOUR ACTIONS. LOOK AT THE STANDARDS YOU HOLD IN YOUR LIFE.

When SATURN is moving forward, you allow authority to reign over you. You allow external sources to remind you what is for you to do, and where to go. When SATURN is in retrograde, POWER COMES FROM WITHIN as we take stock of where we are led and what we are asked to do. As the Lord of Karma retrogrades in the discerning sign of VIRGO, I feel like we have come to a crossroads. It is time to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask questions along these lines:

WHAT IS TRULY IMPORTANT TO ME?

DO THE VALUES I LIVE BY REFLECT WHO I AM AND WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO ME?

AM I ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY FOR MYSELF AND MY LIFE?

AM I LEARNING THE LESSONS I AM HERE IN THIS LIFE TO MASTER?

DOES THE WAY I AM LIVING HONOR ME?

And here's the deal. If you don't like what you see...fine! VIRGO is more than capable of helping you heal the beliefs that brought you to this space, change your thoughts and shift the material reality built upon erroneous thoughts. This is VIRGO's duty and in fact that is what this particular retrograde SATURN is VIRGO is for...to HELP YOU GO WITHIN, REBUILD YOUR MENTAL FOUNDATION FOR LIFE AND BEGIN SHIFTING YOUR REALITY.

It is only by TURNING WITHIN TO KNOW YOUR TRUTH...not having it externally dictated will you be able to live a life of true value, worth and integrity. Deep within you know the truth...your truth...and when you connect with that truth, everything else just is a falls into place.

The last thing I want to share is that on January 5, 2009 (and I will be writing more about this on that day) JUPITER, the planet of growth and expansion, will leave the responsible, duty-bound earth sign of CAPRICORN and cycle into the original, unique, inventive, innovative, ingenious sign of AQUARIUS. Yes, once more, this is truly the dawning of the Age of AQUARIUS, a time of community, brotherhood and the good of all. The last time JUPITER cycled in AQUARIUS was January, 1997, to February, 1998.

JUPITER is in AQUARIUS until January, 2010, is a time to BE WHO YOU REALLY ARE SO THAT YOU CAN LOVE THE LIFE YOU ARE LIVING. Jupiter indicates where in your life GROWTH IS TAKING PLACE. JUPITER is larger than life, optimistic, loves adventure and risk. JUPITER shows an urge to grow, adventure and expand your horizons. Those of you with prominent planetary placements in SAGITTARIUS and PISCES are likely to respond very strongly, and likely very positively to this influence, as JUPITER is the ruling planet of those 2 signs. Not to mention, of course, you folks with prominent energies in AQUARIUS...and how your life will take off in 2009.

When JUPITER enters AQUARIUS on January 5, he is also coming out of CAPRICORN, a sign where his larger than life energy has had to work within strict boundaries and rules.
